The Judicial System of Jodhpur

The State High Court, or Rajasthan High Court, was established in the year 1949, under the Rajasthan High Court Ordinance, with its seat in Jodhpur. It was inaugurated by the Rajpramukh Sawai Man Singh and the first Chief Justice was Kamala Kant Verma. The sanctioned strength of the judges for the High Court is 40 currently. Apart from the High Court there are 10 courts that came into existence in 2011, which the District Judgeship consists of, namely:
