In the year 1936, Maharaja Sur Singh designed the palace as a summer pavilion.
The lake is garlanded by lush green gardens. Pools covered with lilies, rose beds, the tall trees, an artificial cascade and groves of different varieties of fruits are some of the scenes that you can cherish after visiting this lake. Peacocks, jackals, blue bulls and different types of bats also add beauty and charm to the lake and its surrounding.
Kaylana Lake JodhpurKaylana Lake is another famous attraction for the tourist visiting Jodhpur. It is just 8 kms away from the city. In the year 1872, Pratap Singh, got the lake constructed. This artificial lakes stretches over an area of 84 square kms. The lake lies on a place that used to be an area with palaces of two rulers of Jodhpur. Those royal structures were destroyed in order to construct this lake. There is a Dak Bunglow of PHED, irrigation department close to the lake. Boating in he lake is allowed.
